Leucocyte disorders
Granulocytopenia
Low concentration of granuloctes, a type of white blood cell, caused by drugs or other toxins. The low count reduces the body's resistance to infections.
Leukocytosis
An increase in the number of white blood cells as a result of the bone marrow reacting to an infection or inflammation. Stress and certain medications can also precipitate the condition. The signs and symptoms will depend upon the underlying disease that brought on the response.
